Bio
Raised in Portola State Park in the Santa Cruz mountains, on the San Francisco peninsula, I started playing guitar in the early sixties. It was easier to carry than the piano, and easier to sing with than the trombone; my first two foyers into music. I started writing poetry and songs while in the Air Force. Some of the poetry remains, but thankfully the songs have disappeared. During the seventies and eighties I homesteaded in Humboldt County, California, designed and built houses. and developed a soil/nursery business. The guitar would come out a few times a year at parties and family gatherings. In 1994 I took time off to go to the Strawberry Music Festival near Yosemite, and got re-immersed in music. I started writing shortly there after, and ten years later sold the business in order to devote more time to playing out and developing my recording studio. I now play in a band called the Bad Intentions, (we know where the road paved with good intentions goes) and solo.
